Legal requirements for marrying in Slovenia
You can choose between:
1. a legal civil ceremony
2. a religious ceremony
3. a symbolic ceremony
Most international couples prefer symbolic ceremonies because they allow more creative freedom and less administrative preparation. If you choose a legal ceremony, I guide you through the entire process (documents, translations, timing) and ensure everything is handled correctly.
If you want a legally binding ceremony in Slovenia, you need to provide: birth certificates, a certificate of no impediment, passports, and translations into Slovenian. Processing time: 3–6 weeks.
