Boho Elopement in Botanical Garden Sezana

If you are thinking of having a bohemian-style or boho elopement in Slovenia, the stunning Botanical Garden Sezana is a wonderful choice. Located in Sezana at the Vila Mirasasso, the Botanical Garden Sezana is a spectacular botanical park filled with magnificent plants and flowers from all over the globe. First planted in 1848, the park is a significant, protected Slovenian monument and an unrivaled Slovenian attraction.

When Nina and Jure asked me to plan a boho elopement at Botanical Garden Sezana I was excited.

Nina is a Slovenian native whilst Jure is from Amsterdam. Both are wildly romantic with a love for adventure. When Nina and Jure’s eyes met at a bar in Amsterdam something clicked. However Nina was out with her girls that night and falling in love was the last thing on her mind, so they went their separate ways.

Yet for Jure, the story had only just begun and he returned to the bar every day, determined to see Nina again and get to know her better. Finally, Jure’s efforts paid off and Nina came back to the bar.

This time he wasn’t going to let her go. Once Nina heard how Jure had patiently awaited her return she was smitten. Her heart opened, their stars collided and things progressed quickly. When Nina decided to move back home to Slovenia, Jure came too, leaving everything behind for his one true love.

Sezana Botanical Garden Elopement Wedding Planner

When Nina and Jure discovered Sezana’s beautiful Botanical Gardens they knew it was where they wanted to hold their elopement.

The endless green of over 10,000 m² of exotic plants and tropical trees, interspersed with colourful flowers, manicured borders, pretty pathways, pergolas, a pond, orchards and more,  had quickly won them over. The exquisite conservatory where they would hold their ceremony and long history of Vila Mirasasso’s gardens added further to the romance and beauty of the place.

The catch? They wanted to elope in two months.

As an experienced elopement wedding planner, I have planned lots of elopements in Slovenia at short notice before so I knew I could do it.

Nina and Jure’s boho elopement was a dream to plan. The plant-filled conservatory provided a glorious light-filled space for the ceremony. Brimming with gorgeous exotic plants and trees, the conservatory’s neutral palette was the ideal canvas on which to style Nina and Jure’s elopement. The romantic setting was beautifully styled with soft blush tones, ghost chairs and statement florals.

Nina and Jure looked absolutely stunning and enjoyed a romantic meal for two in the conservatory after their ceremony. Topping the meal off with delicious treats from the sweet table, the couple followed things up with an intimate celebration in the garden for just the two of them.

Nina and Jure’s favourite moment? Jure singing a track to Nina during their candle-lit first dance amongst the plants and flowers to the playlist Jure created for their elopement. With no-one else in sight, it was an intimate and special moment that neither will forget.
